- I was reading that the US Robotics DSVD modems have Flash ROM just
- like the Couriers. This interests me and the DSVDs can be had for a
- lot less than the Courier.
-
- I am not particularly interested in the voice capabilities at this
- time, but if I have them, I suppose I will never regret not having
- them.
-
-
- 1. any other notable differences orr similarities between the Courier
- and Sportster DSVD. I am aware that the Courier supports use over a
- leased line but that is not a requirement for me.
-
- 2. any other USR modems with flash ROM.
-
- 3. any other manufactures with reasonably priced flash ROM capability
- (Motorola ?)
-
- 4. Am I too worried about flash ROM. Should I just get a regular
- Sportster and pay for the upgrade chips if needed.
-
- 5. Do the upgrade chips on the Sportsters update the datapump as well?
-
- Thanks,
- Bob
